Aliwal Shoal

Aliwal Shoal

The Shoal is for all levels of qualified divers, depending on the various sites we dive on. Open Water divers can explore the beautiful area stretching from North Sands to South Sands with a maximum depth of 18m. Sites like Cathedral or Inside Edge to name but a few are for the Advanced qualified divers. Being a fossilized sand dune, the topography of the Shoal is magnificent, swim through's, caves, overhangs and beautiful ledges to keep you mesmerized for days. We ensure safe and fun adventures, as this reef can sometimes be challenging so when selecting a dive center ensure that safety always comes first. You will see spectacular sea life all year round.
Southern Reefs

Southern Reefs

Being situated in Scottburgh means we have quick access to the beautiful Southern reefs Launders, Canyon, Fern and Cowrie giving our divers a variety of options while doing a 5 or 10 dive package with us. You also might want to consider doing a Deep Specialty or a Nitrox course to enable you to dive these spectacular reefs for a longer bottom time.
Ragged Tooth Shark dive

Ragged Tooth Shark dive

Raggies are here during the winter months to mate, generally seen on the Raggies Cave and Cathedral reefs. The depth of Raggies Cave is 18m so Open Water divers are able to see them. Cathedral is a 30m dive so Advanced qualification only. You can also inquire about the Advanced course or Deep dive Specialty to further your experience while you're on holiday.
Wreck Diving

Wreck Diving

There are 2 spectacular Wrecks on offer for you here at Aliwal. The Nebo, lies closer to shore so not always great vizability, 30m deep and The Produce, a cargo vessel sank in 1970 with no fatalities. She lies just North of the reef at a depth of 32m so Advanced qualification is required. Conditions have to be good to be able to dive these wrecks, as a strong current with low viz could be a bad decision. The Produce is truly one of the best wrecks you will dive in your lifetime, full of life, dancing schools of fish, you might get lucky and spot the elusive Brindle bass that hides in the shadows. Some people have reported seeing between 6 and 21 at a time. Spectacular site to dive.
